Simplifying services

One stop shop for all gov. levels to simplify access to key public services

We crowdsourced the problem of creating more trust in government to people on the Ottawa university campus and through social media, to find out why Canadians distrust government. We visualised our results in a word cloud that showed that citizens feel disconnected because of the overwhelming complexity of information; it's hard to distinguish between services at a federal, provincial and municipal level. Our prototype aims to disrupt the current disconnect between levels of government services and to remove barriers between people and government. We will make it easier for citizens to access information about key programs and services regardless of what level of government the services are provided by.

At the centre of our design is Sam, a student that just moved to Ontario and is frustrated with clicking through dozens of government websites without finding the information needed.
