Redesigning feedback for residents of high rise tenancies

We started with the topic of housing. We looked at various issues around housing and decided to focus on better ways of reporting repairs and better communication channels between the Council and residents in order to do this. This led us to developing an App and touch screen system. Following customer research we found that 64% of people asked had a smartphone and of these over 50% would use an App to report a repair. We decided to have a touch screen system as well for people who don't have a smartphone eg. the elderly in public places like supermarkets, libraries, housing offices, one stop shops and sheltered housing schemes. We have a working prototype of the App and touch screen system which can be found on the link below.
