DrRadar

A health intelligence tool using crowd sourced data to give citizens trusted info and health alerts
Project description:

The DrRader team is developing a health intelligence tool to crowd source health data.

This will allow citizens to track their own family's health and receive alerts and advice relevant to their circumstances.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM???

Sarah is a busy mum of three, who doesn't have time to think about health issues until someone in her family is sick.
Dr Smith works in a small general practice and spends most of her days seeing patients with minor illnesses that could have been prevented..
Jack is a public servant working on emergency response policies for health issues. He doesn't feel like he has enough up to date, detailed data.

HOW DOES DR RADER SOLVE THIS?

Inputs:
Australian citizens provide and track their health profile and illness information.
Government provides health information and advice.

Outputs:
Citizens receive alerts and advice relevant to them, their family and geographical location.
Government receives real time crowd sourced data about the health issues of citizens.

KEY BENEFITS TO GOVERNMENT:
Reduced burden on public health system.
Save $$$
More data to assist in planning health services.
Real time data to assist in emergency responses.
Capitalises on the NBN and new technology.
Reduced the service gap between city and rural.

KEY BENEFITS TO CITIZENS:
An easy to use smartphone app!
Access to health alerts relevant to their area.
Able to access data relevant to their postcode - home, workplace, childcare etc.
Able to easily report health issues affecting their family, home, child care etc.
Can track health issues within their family.
Can access quality trusted advice from government sources.
Linked in to telehealth services i.e. videoconference with a nurse practitioner.

WHO DOES DR RADAR COLLABORATE WITH?
Dr Rader sources informaiton from users, schools, child care centres, and community groups.

The data collected is then compared with other government data (BOM, Geoscience, maps, weather) to identify trends.

HOW DOES DR RADER CO-CREATE WITH USERS?
Easy to use feedback and suggestion options.
Users can request new options to track, symptoms to report etc.
